About Us

Genuine service is our highest priority

We build relationships as well as homes. Since 1950, three generations of Sorensens have maintained a unique tradition of accessibility and responsiveness to their homebuyers. Treating customers like family, we always stand ready to assist you in the customization of your home and to respond to your needs.
Our homes create the finest of neighborhoods. It was in Arlington, Virginia 65 years ago that the first Sorensen home was built. Since then, thousands of Northern Virginians have learned that Sorensen “Quality, Affordability and Craftsmanship” is a living reality, and that our family is an extension of their own.
Our size allows us to stay in touch. We always endeavor to be your personal builder. Small enough so that our Principals can be your Personal Builders. Large enough to be able to turn your custom dreams into reality. We’re just the right size for our homeowners, and just the right size to allow us to do what we do best – to build individualized homes with “Quality, Affordability and Craftsmanship.”
You can trust our award-winning tradition. Our Industry peers have always been among out best references. You can have confidence in a builder who has won so many major industry awards over the years. These awards demonstrate our continuing dedication and commitment to value, design leadership and innovation, which have been recognized by our peers in the building industry as being the “best of the best.”

Become a part of our extended professional family. We are always seeking new and inviting land opportunities throughout Northern Virginia. We welcome inquiries from land owners and real estate professionals in our ongoing search for new land parcels. Whether the opportunity is just a few homesites or large land parcels suitable for substantial neighborhoods, we have the proven expertise to develop communities which we can all take pride in for years to come.

Without a doubt, the best decision we made was to enlist the services of Sorensen Construction. Even before contracts were signed, we were treated to nothing less than extraordinary personal service.

Our reputation spans three generations. Les Sorensen, Sr. began our tradition of affordable home customization in 1950. His wife Margaret, their children Les, Michael, and Karla Sorensen, and now a third generation of Sorensens (Trent, Holly, and Collin) continue to assure that every Sorensen homebuyer is treated like family.

We build relationships as well as homes. From your salesperson to your community superintendent to the top Sorensen executives at our home office, we are always available to you. The result is that we build new friendships with every new home.
